Polly Waffle Doughnut Bites

Step 1
Place self-rising flour in a large bowl. Add yogurt and stir with a fork or wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth, about 8 minutes. Add a few tablespoons water if the dough seems dry or a few tablespoons flour if it is sticky.

Roll dough into 8-10 even balls and flatten/press down with hands.

Step 4
Cut Polly Waffle Bites into halves. Place approx. 6 halves into the centre of each doughnut and roll back into a ball (with Polly Waffle Bites in the centre).

Preheat an air fryer to 180 degrees. Line the fryer basket with a baking paper or silicone air fryer liner.

Place doughnut bites in the basket, and cook until golden brown, approx. 8-12 minutes (turning half way). Do not crowd the basket, and cook in two batches if your air fryer is small.

Step 7
Remove from air fryer once golden brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
